Contacting you before the ceremony
If you are marrying in a licensed venue, the
Registrar conducting the ceremony will be
in touch during the week leading up to your
big day to talk through your ceremony with
you, offer advice and answer any questions.
ArrivaI of Registrars
If your ceremony is in a licensed venue, the
Registrars will arrive at least 30 minutes
before the time of the ceremony.
Seating
Please check with your venue the
maximum number of people allowed in
the civil ceremony room under their fire
regulations.
Please note that the couple and two
Registrars should be included in this
number. Your Usher/s should arrange and
direct your guests to any reserved seating.
Confetti
Some venues may have restrictions on
throwing confetti and we would ask that
you check with them directly. Where
possible please use biodegradable options.

Couples seeing each other before the
ceremony or arriving together - we
would ask that you are both available
to see the Registrars at least 30
minutes before the ceremony start
time.
Couples not seeing each other before
the ceremony - one party must be
available to see the Registrars at least
30 minutes before the ceremony
start time. The other party must be
available to see the Registrars at
least 15 minutes before the ceremony
begins.
