Editor Sierra Arbeau Happy New Year! It is January, the beginning of a new year! Beginning of a new you. For most people, New Years is the day where you make a few resolutions and try to keep your word in staying true to them. For many, it doesn’t turn out as originally planned. Every year people set themselves up for failure, expecting to follow through. Some do,, most don’t. Its unfortunate, but very true. While their resolutions are great and inspring, they are usually quite difficult to carry on throughout the year. Whether its out of a lack of courage, or pure laziness, or even forgetting about them. There is something we can do about this, so that we can finally change the things we want to change. It’s possible, but you have to be doing your part. Use these steps to get a head start to your success: 1. Pray for courage and motivation to carry you through. 2. Set a reminder for yourself where you know you will see it on a daily basis. 3. Write a letter to yourself now, telling yourself what you want to change and why. 4. Write a new letter to yourself, simply a reminder of how far you’ve come and how much you can still do to gain success. (Every 3 months) 5. Focus. 6. Have fun with it. :) I genuinely hope that this year you will go through with your resolutions and show yourself that you actually can do whatever you put your heart to. Make one goal at a time, don’t try to juggle everything at once. That’s when your mind starts to forget things, and you end up getting too overwhelmed. Just know your place. Know that you are able to make that change. Be yourself. Always remember to keep God #1 and He will guide you through it. You can do this! I promise. Sincerely, Sierra Arbeau Assistant Editor Cindy Nababan New year resolutions. According to a study by University of Scranton, these are the top 5 resolutions which most people in the world have made after the 2013 countdown past the zero mark: 1. Lose Weight 2. Get Organized 3. Spend Less, Save More 4. Enjoy Life to the Fullest 5. Stay Fit and Healthy Out of 100% of these confident people, 24% of them usually never succeed and failed in getting the results each year. Some people think that perhaps it is because of their busy lives or just laziness. But as Sierra has stated, I think the possibility of succeeding lies in God and prayers. Whether or not you have resolutions this year, God will carry you through your life and make something that is impossible possible. I wish you guys a happy new and better year for 2014! Sincerely, Cindy Nababan
