Grade Point Average (GPA) Calculation: Beginning in the ninth grade, grades received are classified as non-weighted, general, and advanced. Non-weighted grades are marked as Pass/Fail and have no weight in the GPA. General courses are calculated into the GPA by the multiplier of 1 per credit. Advanced courses are weighted by the multiplier of 1.05 per credit. Grades are issued to students on report cards and transcripts as both a numeric and letter grade. College Testing All students take the PSAT in their junior year. They are encouraged to take the SAT/ACT in the spring of their junior year and again in the fall of their senior year.
