•
During 2016/17, we maintained our close working
relationship with the Melbourne Water Retail Agencies
(MRWA) and regional water authorities. We will continue to adopt a consultative and collaborative
approach with the water authorities on various levels. Our
primary focus is to engage and work with the industry to
promote health and wellbeing, and encourage a consistent
and unified approach to procurement and adoption of
single technical standard.
•
Facilitation and attendance at Water Industry
Liaison Committee meetings which continues to be the
main touch point for the water industry.
•
Conducted the well-attended and received Water
Sector Industry Breakfast with presentations by senior
managers from DELWP and Central Highlands Water.
The appointment of senior management at the water
authorities may bring about changes that could impact on
the established relationships between the members and
the authorities. It is our intent to work with the authorities
for the betterment of these relationships.
