TRAINING
Building capacity and capability in the civil construction
industry to meet critical infrastructure needs for Victoria
through market leading training, apprenticeship programs
and initiatives.
CIVIL TRAIN
Our FocuS
For Civil Train to be recognised and seen as the primary
facilitator and provider of training to the Civil Construction
Industry.
We aim to maintain the highest ethical standards and
ensure the delivery of high quality, industry relevant
training, that is compliant with all government regulations.
Our Achievements
•
Civil Train continued to deliver high quality,
relevant industry training with 190 courses delivered to
over 1,700 participants across Victoria.
•
With the drive to have the nationally recognised,
Certificate III in Civil Construction seen as a bench mark
for the industry, over 80 employees have commenced the
qualification with numbers projected to increase by over
100% in the coming year.
•
With the introduction of the Certificate IV in Civil
Construction – Supervision in March 2017, the number of
participants commenced at 10 with an expected growth in
2018 to over 300%.
•
Successfully transitioned from the state training
authority (VRQA) to the national body (ASQA). This will
allow greater flexibility to provide training from a national
perspective.
WHAT’S AHEAD?
•
Continue to engage with industry organisations
to ensure Civil Train identifies and delivers Training and
Education to meet the needs of the business operations
and employee skills development.

Build our capacity to ensure Civil Train has the
capability to deliver training based on demand and
current training needs.
•
Create diversification through continually
analysing the marketplace to provide just in time skills
development based on infrastructure demand.

Research and develop an integrated delivery
model for training, using current and new technology
to support employers and students in rural and remote
locations i.e. th
