The GCA grant paid for materials and cameras for
the duration of the project. “I wanted them to
work with real cameras, not just those they could
access with a cell phone,” noted Pauli. The
students made their own decisions about what
they would photograph.

they were building, there was a passion and self-
confidence about the work they were producing.
