DINE
EJ // For the whole first month there , we had the best breakfast at the place we stayed . It was something different every day some kind of potatoes n eggs , or a dinosaur egg thing ... sometimes even a sweet type of dish . We stayed with a super nice lady , Marcella . For dinner almost every night we ’ d go to this super local spot and eat fried chicken and rice or noodles for $ 4.25 . We literally went there every night , it was so good . And for groceries , we shopped a lot just to keep it kind of cheaper . Still ate super local though . We made chicken and rice for dinner everyday and egg sandwiches in the mornings .
Nick // I mean we were always stocked on groceries . I mean we always had eggs and bread and then whatever anyone wanted to eat for breakfast . We were on an eggs and toast rampage . Then after three weeks everyone got sick of it . Literally people were throwing up ... I don ’ t think I cooked the eggs all the way . PBnJ for lunch or salads and then the standard chicken and rice for dinner . Or I usually went out for dinner becasue the food was cheap and the house was too packed to cook for yourself .
DRINK
EJ // Panama has a couple local beers that were tasty . Panama Lager and Barbacoa , all the other beers were more expensive and out of my price range haha .
Nick // So to drink , they had like canned rum and cokes that can kinda get you started . And they get you pretty drunk but I dunno they ’ re kind of gross . My favorite drink was probably Balboa , which was a local beer . And they ’ re a dollar too , its funny because it ’ s like “ one Balboa for one Balboa .” Always nice to have a beer at sunser or like in the morning before a surf sesh . Or you can just go to any grocery store and snag a six and you ’ re bascially good for the night .
