Knock the Dust Off Tournament

Adults

KT Get your team together and compete in this one day double elimination tournament that gives you the opportunity to ‘ knock the dust off ” from the cold winter months . Any adult 12 ” men ’ s softball team can register with a maximum of 10 teams allowed in the tournament .

Registration packets will be available online at carypark . com and at the Community Center beginning December 14 . The number of teams registered will determine tournament format .

75 % of players on a team need to reside within Cary Park District boundaries to be classified as a resident team .

Spring / Summer Softball League

Adults

KT Get your team together and compete in a recreational softball league . Games are played at Lions Park with game times at 7:00 , 8:00 and 9:00 pm . The league will play a minimum of 16 games with the number of teams registered in a particular league will determine league formats . Post season playoffs are planned . The league is sanctioned with the National Softball Association .

Information packets for the spring / summer league will be available at the Community Center and online at carypark . com by January 20 . Registration begins January 23 . A manager ’ s meeting is scheduled for Thursday , May 19 at the Lions Park fields at 6:30 pm prior to the first game starting .

Teams must be able to make all time slots available for play ; there are no requests for specific game times . For additional information , contact Katie Tarosas , Program & Facilities Manager at 847-639-6100 x 110 .

* Rosters are needed to assess whether a team is considered resident or non-resident ; 75 % of players need to reside within Cary Park District boundaries to be considered a resident team . Once this is assessed , the credit card on file and given at registration will be charged .

Bags Tournament

Adults

KT Come out for Cary Park District ’ s March Madness - a 21 and over bags tournament . Grab a partner and compete in this one day double elimination tournament .

This tournament is BYOB and appetizers will be provided . There will be a cash prize for the first place team .

Even when the temperatures drop and snow has fallen , your parks are still great places for fun !

Ice Skating

Ice skating at Jaycee Park is a great outdoor experience ! When there has been several days of below freezing temperatures , Park District staff will clear the rink area and signage will beckon skaters . A warming shelter and restrooms are available at the park . The rink is lighted for evening skating and closes at 9:00 pm .

Sledding

Lions Park is excellent for sledding . When covered with snow , the park ’ s rolling hills offer great family fun . Park closes at dusk .

Cross Country Skiing

The grounds at Lions Park and Kaper Park are terrific for cross-country skiing . This is the perfect activity for winter exercise . www . carypark . com | 33
