WHEELBARROW
Again, look for
rugged construction,
because you are
bound to haul plenty
of rocks. No-flat tires
can prove invaluable
with the number of
"goathead" thorns you'll
run across.
LEAF/THATCH RAKE
If you're going to spend
the money, might as well get something dual-purpose. The steel tines are strong enough to help remove the thatch from your lawn in the spring, but broad enough to rake in the leaves in the fall.
DIGGING BAR
What the Hulo-Ho is to Nevada gardens, the digging bar is to Gardnerville Ranchos back yards. It's strong enough to leverage deep-rooted plants and small tree stumps and sharp enough to cut solidly into the rock-laden dirt. Don't dig a hole without one.
