Say what you will about the outside, there is nothing to complain about on the inside. Now the HSE Luxury comes will all the bits and bobs that the Discovery has to offer, and there's a lot of them. The plush leather seats are comfortable and there are no issues with leg room (even in the 3rd row which folds down flat). I loved the fact that you not only had heated seats, but you could cool the seats as well, not just in the front, but the 2nd row as well (a big plus in Sri Lanka). The 10", high resolution infotainment system isn't the only screen, with head rest mounted rear entertainment system to keep your back seat passengers entertained as well. To go through the full list of options would take too much time, so lets check off some of the important ones.

The HSE Luxury comes with a Meridian Surround Sound system, which includes 14 speakers and a dual channel sub-woofer. My latest musical obsession, Barns Courtney's

Glitter and Gold sounded amazing as I drove through the back roads of Kandy. You also get InControl, which links your smart phone to your vehicle (didn't get to test this out), as well as a USB charge points for all three rows, and several 12v ports, as well as a slot for a SIM card so you can turn your vehicle into a WIFI zone.

The one thing I dislike about Land Rovers is that they use a dial instead of a standard shifter, which to most is probably not an issue, its just that I mostly drive manuals, so the lack of it feels a little odd. On this version, I didn't see the heads up display, or the full digital instrument cluster, which were the only things missing.

You have a retractable sunroof in the front and a moon roof in the back, and mood lighting (though minimal), and four zone climate control (again, optional extra), so taking that long drive out of the city at night feels pretty good, for everyone in the vehicle.
