Nissan unveiled the next production version of its popular Leaf Nismo model, which will go on sale in Japan on the 31st of July 2018. The latest model has received a few ornamental updates including a sportier suspension offering a more comfortable ride.

The most noticeable update includes all-around exterior red accents, particularly on the side sills, bumpers, and the door mirror caps. The red finish can be seen around its air conditioning vents and used red stitching on the custom seats. Furthermore, you’ll also notice the unique electronic shifter with a gun metal chrome finish.

Buyers now have the option to choose between nine body colours, including two-tone paint jobs, such as Dark Metal Grey/Super Black or Brilliant Silver/Super Black. The vehicle has custom 18-inch aluminum wheels wrapped with grippe Continental ContiSportContact 5 tires to reduce air resistance. On the inside of the vehicle there will be a special carbon-like finish on the instrument panel as well as an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel.

In addition to the design, The Nismo model includes a custom tuning computer for a better responsive acceleration, and an upgraded suspension and custom-tuned electric power steering. The Intelligent Trace Control is specialized for increased stability while cornering.

Nissan introduced a Leaf Nismo concept late last year. The company also has Nismo versions of the 370Z and GT-R, but it has also given the special treatment to the more pedestrian Juke, Note, March, and Serena minivan .
