30% of homeless people have been in care’.
Normally you stay in your placement till you are
16-18 and social services help with self
Accommodation, but you will still get support on a
limited scale and you get a personal adviser till
you are 21. You will hopefully have completed
your ILP (Independent Living Plan) which helps
you with cooking, cleaning ,budgeting and much
more. You can normally choose where you want
to live but this depends on
your situation.
