A 50-year-old African-American male with hypertension and hyperlipidemia , who was diagnosed with coronary artery disease 6 months earlier , presents for lipid management . About 6 months earlier , he developed chest pain while playing basketball . He underwent stress testing and eventual left heart catheterization , which demonstrated diffuse right coronary artery disease , an occluded proximal circumflex , and a 90 % mid left anterior descending artery , for which he received a drug-eluting stent .
