PDC’s people have made it a winner
P
ressure Die Castings (Pty) Ltd was
named Business of the Year 2014
in the manufacturing sector, at
the annual Nedbank PCB Business
Awards late last year.
This 62-year-old Pietermaritzburg-based
company was commended by the competition’s adjudicators for the passion and
strong business drive shown by its management, and for maintaining a competitive edge, both locally and internationally.
PDC is arguably the largest brass foundry
in the country, recycling around 150
tons of brass from scrap every month for
the manufacture of a range of products.
These include brass alloy window and
door handles, brass components for highvoltage insulator cut-outs, brass sprinkler
heads in large volumes, and aluminium
window and door handles.
