All students 12.00- 17.00 Billhook Nook, Brotherhood Woods Introduction to Woodland Management The event will consider the traditional woodland management practices employed in Britain in the past and how these have impacted the development of woodland habitat to produce the nature we now see. Includes demonstration and instruction in the safe use of basic forestry tools. Note: sturdy/safety shoes (some available to borrow) – and old/work clothes required. Conservation students but open to all 13.00- 14.00 GLT3 Gain Teaching Experience: In the Classroom Modules These modules provide you with the opportunity to combine an academic course with work experience, gaining credits towards your degree while working. The modules will give you an insight into teaching and the opportunity to explore alternative career options in the education sector.
