All students 11.00- 12.00 KS13 Teaching English abroad Teachers from the Centre for English and World Languages will talk about teaching English abroad, CELTA and other English teaching qualifications. The talk will cover career opportunities and transferable skills. There will be a Q&A at the end. Of particular interest to final year Hums/Soc Sciences 12.00- 13.00 EXSR3 CVs, job applications and working in the Arts Prior to lecturing at Kent, Will Wollen worked in the UK arts industry for 18 years as a freelancer, employee, employer and board member. This session will focus on: finding work in the arts, CVs, applications and interviews. CV feedback available. UG and PG interested in a career in the arts 12.00- 13.00 JLT Researching and writing defence analysis reports Samuel Cranny-Evans, an alumni of the School of History and Senior Analyst on Land Warfare Platforms for Jane’s, will discuss how the skills developed writing essays translate into drafting analyses, reports, and news articles on military and defence issues.
