38 SPRINT AND PARACANOE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2-3 SEPTEMBER 2017 HOLME PIERREPONT (NOTTINGHAM) SUPER SEPTEMBER HIGHLIGHTS Click here for full results Click here for photo highlights CANOE POLO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 9-10 SEPTEMBER 2017 HOLME PIERREPONT (NOTTINGHAM) The second weekend in September saw the Canoe Polo National Championships at the brand new pitches (where the wakeboard park is) at Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham. A number of teams, including the GB athletes, took part in the action packed contact sport, where tactics and positional play are as important as speed and fitness. Overall 26 teams competed in the Championships and 668 goals were scored across the two days of competition. Click here for full results Click here for photo highlights FREESTYLE EUROPEAN OPEN AND BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS 30 SEPTEMBER - 1 OCTOBER 2017 HOLME PIERREPONT (NOTTINGHAM) The last weekend in September was the Freestyle European Open. Using the white water waves on the course at Holme Pierrepont, the freestyle athletes performed tricks and stunts in their boats to get the most points to be crowned the champion! The event saw numbers double from last year with over 130 competitors taking part. Click here for full results Click here for photo highlights BRITISH OPEN (SLALOM , RAFTING AND MORE) 16-17 SEPTEMBER 2017 39 Many came along, to cheer on some of the best athletes in the world in their fields, to get selfies with Olympians and Paralympians and to give canoeing a go! The Sprint and Paracanoe National Championships, based at Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham, played host to a number of high profile athletes and Olympic medallists, who battled it out to become the National Champions. displaying the best moves and tricks to score the most points, a Boater X competition, Canoe Polo demonstrations and the opportunity for you to have a go in a Canoe!
