Robert Head and Mat Ladroga served together in Iraq in 2003 both soldiers were assigned to Alpha Company 1-6 Infantry out of Baumholder, Germany. There they forged a friendship that would grow into opportunity. Mat had several years’ experience of growing and cultivating and even had a license to grow in Maine as a caregiver. In 2016, after the VA administered Robert a significant amount of opioid pills, he began to supplement cannabis for the opioids which made a dramatic difference in his life. Robert had a friend who he served with in the Army, who died from an accidental overdose of opioids. Some of those opioids were the same pills Robert had been prescribed by his VA doctor. It was the medical cannabis that kept Robert off the opioids and out of the grave.
