We see the proof that marijuana has proven medical used that provide positive results through public stories via the internet, social media, and traditional media alike; yet there is no clinical research on many issues like how to provide consistency in product, administration, nor which cannabinoid should be used to treat the issue at hand. This is opening the door for the concept of customized protocols per patient.

These stories are not news propaganda angles, they are simply desperate everyday people taking the risk associated with cannabis just to improve the quality of life for their

loved ones. A noted cannabis expert referred to as "The King of Pot" shares that people fly into or travel by any means to states where marijuana is seen as a medicine. "I have had patients from across the globe to meet me regardless of their affiliations and or beliefs; I guess there are no stigmas in a foxhole. These patients will do all they can to improve their quality of life, regardless of the risk. Treating the top one percent to those on government assistance, there are no bounds or classes; just those in need."

Regardless of consequences it is human nature to preserve ones self or that of a loved one. "The term self-preservation in its simplest definition describes both the set of behaviors by means of which individuals attempt to preserve their own existence and the psychical process that establish these behaviors" (encyclopedia.com)

With all the newfound knowledge abroad and stifled research in America; the internet has allowed an avenue for truth to flow through.

We must now ask ourselves; when will our era of prohibition end? Starting in 1990 it seems like we're due.

Cannainvestor's August edition shows the department of justice; Drug Enforcement Agency's, 21 CFR chapter II [Docket No. DEA-426] Denial of petition to initiate proceedings to reschedule marijuana, dated July 19th 2016.

In short stating the Department of justice and DEA will not even consider taking a look at the facts and even speculate on changing marijuana placement on the federal drug schedule keeping it a schedule 1 drug. Is this a continued attempt to legislate morality?

Harry J Anslinger once stated "reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men". I wonder if Mr. Michael J Lewis; this dockets contact, if he feels the same way. We all know if these questions above were allowed to be asked, it would be political suicide either way; a true double edge sword.

Now that the department of justice has made a recent flareup and solidified it's standing on marijuana; it is now The people's turn to make a move. What will it be? What is the ammunition? It seems finances nor facts sway the DEA around election time. Turning to democracy seems no good, there is no bright light through the hole of a ballot. Shall we draw our almighty pens and spill the ink of passion and knowledge while playing their game? At this moment I find it a feeble effort. We must evolve with time. Change is imminent. We must let the smoke settle and see what we are facing.
