In the past three years, social media has become a valuable tool in investor relations. Back in the Spring of 2015 Greenwich Associates released a report that questioned 256 endowments, foundations, corporate and public pension funds and insurance companies from around the world. This eye-opening study revealed to the public that 80% of institutional investors utilize social media as part of their regular activities. With cannabis as a new public financial enterprise investors are very curiously watching the market and social media may be a deciding factor in the investment process. This fact makes social media a crucial marketing venture for every cannabis related company that is already in or looking to enter the cannabis sector.
