Greetings and a warm welcome to our 8th issue of the CANNAINVESTOR Magazine! We couldn't be more excited to bring our magazine to cannabis investors, analysts, financial media and cannabis executives.
2016 has been a year in which the industry has seen solid
progress. The cannabis industry ended 2016 with medical
marijuana being legal in 28 states and D.C. and recreational
marijuana being legal in 8 states and D.C. Analysts estimate
California alone will significantly increase the legal cannabis
market from an estimated $6 bilion to $18 billion indsutry. In
addition, we think California will finally bring cannabis out of
the black market and into a state and government regulated
market. We would hope that Wall Sreet and politicians move
the industry forward because they recognize the medical
benefits of cannabis. However, history teaches us that Wall
Street and politicians are motivated by profit and if that is
the case the cannabis industry will not disappoint them.
We're optimistic for 2017, but very excited regarding 2018,
when we should see the "fruits of our labor."
Thank you for letting us keep you informed and assist you in
your research of this new and emerging market. We
appreciate your support and are so happy to have you as a
reader of the CANNAINVESTOR Magazine!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
