Ellementa was founded by web pioneer Aliza Sherman and tech entrepreneur Melissa Pierce to help bring more reliable information about cannabis wellness to women. Both women saw the parallels between the emerging Internet industry back in the 90s and the emerging cannabis industry now - and both women saw the chance for women to benefit from Internet back then and cannabis today. They set out to create welcoming spaces online and offline where women could learn about cannabis from other women and experts.
History Mission
The current focus is to launch Ellementa face-to-face Gatherings in over a dozen cities before the end of the year. Ellementa will introduce a crowdfunding campaign in August to rally support for expansion to reach more women with trusted information about cannabis and a network and resource to support their learning. In the future, Ellementa has international expansion plans! The time is now to reach as many women as possible to dispel myths and counter the misinformation about cannabis. Many people are benefiting from cannabis and its derivatives. So many more could benefit with the right information and resources - and women can help lead the way to removing the stigma of cannabis in our communities and our society.
