MEET THE AUTHORS

W. David Bradford, Ph.D.

W. David Bradford, Ph.D. is the George D. Busbee Chair in Public Policy in the Department of Public Administration and Policy at the University of Georgia. A significant component of Dr. Bradford’s current research examines public policies related to risky behaviors, including medical cannabis laws and policies aimed at combatting the opioid crisis. He is the author of over 75 publications and has been principle investigator on more than 20 extramurally funded research grants.

Ashley Bradford is a Masters of Public Administration student at the University of Georgia’s Department of Public Administration and Policy. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology at UGA in the Fall of 2016. Since then she has pursued a health policy research agenda in the area of risky behaviors and substance abuse. She has two publications focusing on the adoption and spill-over effects of medical marijuana legalization within the US.
