While researching the term hemp, I came across a product called Hempcrete; a bio-composite made of the inner woodiest core of the hemp plant that is then mixed with a lime-based binder, shaped into cement blocks that apparently float. The product is half the weight of cement and used to insulate many homes from Florida to Washington State.
