CANNAHEALTH Rediscovering Hemp | Page 19

Humans create over 1.3 billion tons of solid waste or trash each year. The United States alone generates 254 million tons of annual trash. The most on Earth! Not to mention the 1.4 billion pounds of trash that enters our oceans yearly, where toxic chemicals leach from degrading plastic into surrounding environments.

We, humans, gather natural resources from these ecosystems. Soon they'll be too toxic to harvest from, greatly limiting the safe resources our global community needs.

Pollutants are experienced in many forms,

but also chemical, radioactive and/or improperly disposed of waste. Hazardous waste is generated from producing man-made materials and power, releasing deadly noxious materials into the air, groundwater and soil.

The EPA states there are at least 36,000 SERIOUSLY contaminated sites in the United States. Costing between $370 billion to $1.7 trillion to clean up.

With such intense toxic build-up, how will humans eliminate enough waste to survive? Let alone flourish and thrive in this environment?

Good news! Places too lethal to live can be freed from destruction
