responsible. We can’t continue to turn a blind eye to the issues facing our veterans; particularly when we consider that veterans are disproportionately impacted by opioid addiction.

And, that brings us to point #3…

Hemp produces a very effective medicine known as CBD (Cannabidiol). CBD is non-intoxicating, non-addictive and produces no known side effects.

Industrial hemp derived CBD is a literal God send for so many people, especially for those who desire the benefits of Cannabis therapy without any mind-altering side effects. CBD therapy can offer tremendous benefits to everyone; however, it is ideally suited for the elderly, disabled, children and veterans. Let us not drag our feet in bringing new solutions and more opportunities for optimal health to those who need it most.

I was raised in a military family and I have personally seen and experienced many of the added hardships placed on service members, veterans and their families. I give great thanks to all who have dedicated themselves to a cause greater than themselves and who have sacrificed their own personal happiness to the whim of a nation. Thank you for your service.

For those who have encountered service-connected pain and suffering, I vow to continue to use my voice until such time as you can have your medicine and grow it too. The time is now. The crop is hemp. Let’s plant this seed and watch it grow.

And, I want to give particular thanks to my Dad, a decorated and disabled American veteran, for watching me fight back tears over the Patagonia short film “Harvesting Liberty", and for allowing me to cultivate hemp on his land. I’m really glad the CBD we grew helped you sleep a little better, Daddy; I love you.
