in life. When I am working with my patients I feel the most alive and I believe that I am truly walking in my purpose. I believe that it is important to meet patients where they are while being realistic about expectations vs. reality. I am a very spiritual person so I do not think it is by accident that any patient ends up in my office. I pray to God that He sends me patients to help and that He provides me with what tools necessary to help them. With God on your side you cannot lose. That is my key to success!

What’s your mission? And how are you fulfilling that daily?

My mission is to help as many people as possible to permanently restore their health and/or optimize their quality of life through naturopathic medicine. I am fulfilling my mission on a daily basis by being an approachable doctor that people of all ages, genders, nationalities, religions etc. can come to and learn about the profession, dispel myths, and get an honest, judgement-free,

realistic idea if naturopathic medicine is right for them. All prospective patients are highly educated about naturopathic medicine as a whole and can make an informed decision about how to proceed with their healthcare and feel like they have a say in what happens to their bodies.

I meet so many people that are afraid to question their physician or feel that their physician is unapproachable, and do not feel that they can ask their physician questions. I have patients suffering from terminal illnesses that call me crying because they just do not understand their condition and if they ask too many questions they are released from their physicians care.

I had my personal struggles with the current healthcare system which led me to become the physician I am today and I promised myself that I would always treat my patients the way that I wish that my doctors would have treated me, with respect.

My mission is also to help Louisiana become licensed in naturopathic medicine. I currently serve as an officer for the Louisiana Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Myself, as well as the other 3 licensed Naturopathic physicians, meet on a regular basis to do the grunt work required to see our home state licensed in naturopathic medicine in our lifetime.
