I knew from an early age that I wanted to help people. I decided at the age of 12 that medicine was my calling. My mother was pregnant with my sister and I went with her to a visit to the OBGYN who proceeded to ask me about my interests. I explained to her that I loved children, especially babies, and she told me all about neonatology and I decided at that very moment that I wanted to be a physician that helped everyone, especially the pediatric population.
I attended Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA for my undergraduate education and earned a B.S. in Biological Science. I am a graduate of National University of Health Sciences, Lombard, IL. I am one of four licensed Naturopathic Physicians in Louisiana and serve as the Treasurer for the Louisiana Association of Naturopathic Physicians. I am the immediate past Vice President of the Vermillion chapter of Business Network International. I also am the only African-American Naturopathic Physician in Louisiana.
