When we talk about a heart attack and heart disease, many may not be able to ascertain or make the connection of one from the other. We all have an idea what a heart attack is and what it does to the heart but there is some confusion. other hand, one having heart disease can have one of several cardiovascular diseases of the heart and the blood vessel systems. We also know the other cardiovascular diseases when we hear about them such as in strokes, high blood pressure, angina or (chest pain) and rheumatic heart diseases (MedicalJane, 2017). What I usually hear is the person has a heart condition period, which causes
some of the confusion.
My older sister had a heart murmur when she was born. The general cause of a murmur in newborns is congenital heart disease or when the blood vessels or valves attached to the infant heart are not developed before a child is born (American Heart Association, 2017). I can recall my sister almost being rejected from joining the Air Force because of the infant murmur.
