CANNAHEALTH An Overview of Cannabis | Page 25

We are very excited about the remainder of 2017. April 20th is shaping up to be the biggest in recent years. We will be involved with several groups at different events across Atlanta, all being tied together with a 420 march. You can find more about the day’s events at 420AtlantaRally.com, check back often as they will be adding more events as they come online. We hope to have a huge attendance with patients, veterans, victims of prohibition and some nationally recognized speakers, including Diane Fornbacher, activist and managing editor of Ladybud Magazine. We will also be collaborating with Drug Policy Alliance on Saturday April 22 at Morehouse College of Medicine. Open to the public, we will have a face to face conversation about our drug war and over criminalization and its affect on the health of individuals, their families and communities. It's free to attend but requires registration. REGISTER HERE! This event is a precursor to their 2017 Reform Conference being held in Atlanta on October 11-17. Find out more here- http://www.reformconference.org/. We have attended the last two biennial conferences, the first in Denver, CO and two years ago in Virginia/D.C. Save the date! Tickets go on sale in spring and they do offer some scholarships if you think you are ready to rise up.

Peachtree NORML Foundation has several ways to get involved; we welcome anyone and their ideas. We are a non-partisan group, about the people not political parties. Some suggestions: sign up for our newsletter and national NORML’s for action alerts for our state, visit our webpage, join us on facebook or twitter, go to a regional meeting, organize a town hall and we will send a speaker, share our information far and wide, talk to your family, friends and strangers. If you are already an activist and would be interested in working in your home town on the City by City initiative, contact us immediately. If you don’t have the gift of gab, give a monthly small donation as a sign of support. Your donations are tax-deductible, put to good use, appreciated and can be made anytime at http://www.peachtreenorml.org/donate.
