De-Clutter
If you wake up every morning, and all you see is
worn clothes thrown over the dresser, days of
used food containers left on the kitchen
counter, and stacks of fitness magazines
strewn across your living room table, it is going
to send you a subconscious message that your
life is congested.
It’s time to de-clutter! Take on one room, one
corner, one box at a time. And commit just one
hour a day. The golden rule for deciding what
needs to go - if you haven’t worn it or used it in
the last 6 months, it’s time to donate it!
Take a Walk
As humans, we are animals. Our natural habitat is not inside a
building, sitting at a desk, plugged into a computer all day. A
great way to unplug, calm your mind, and re-center yourself, is
to simply head outside and go for a walk. And surround
yourself with as much nature, green stuff, as you can.
Taking just 20 min a day to be by yourself in nature can have
quite a calming effect. And for those of you in contest prep,
there’s no better way to start your day than some cardio
outside first thing in the morning.
