CITRULLINE
By: David Otterbein
Inside the Issue
Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid that is increasing in popularity as a
sports performance supplement. This supplement is a precursor of Arginine
and it increases vasodilatation by stimulating the production of nitric oxide.
There are two different forms of Citrulline in dietary supplements that you
should know about.
TYPE 1: TYPE 2:
L-Citrulline Citrulline Malate
This is your basic form,
there is nothing
attached to it. The only difference between
Citrulline in its regular form
and Citrulline
Malate is the addition of
Malic Acid.
