Native Instruments Massive X Software Synth Native Instruments has released Massive X, the follow up to its Massive software synth released in 2007. The new software synth features a completely redesigned GUI and, like the original, focuses on modulation. At the heart of Massive X is the completely new oscillator section. Users can choose from over 170 wavetables and 10 different modes of reading them – from the aggressive Gorilla family to a wavetable-bending mode, Hardsync, Formant, and many more – each with their own unique sub-modes and additional controls. Two phase-modulation oscillators can be dialed in to inject extra movement into the main oscillators. Elsewhere, there are new filters and filter types, insert and stereo effects, and a new complex Max/MSP-style routing system to send audio around the synth, as well as feed it back on itself. On-Stage PS901 Pedal Power Bank On-Stage, a division of The Music People, has released the PS901 pedal power bank. The PS901 drives a wide array of guitar effects pedals and features nine fully-isolated, individually-LED-indicated outputs. Internally surge-protected, the PS901 pedal power bank also includes a five-plug daisy chain for expandability to power up to 13 pedals. It is housed in a heavy-duty, black anodized aluminum housing and a unit-comprehensive package of eight power cables, one reverse polarity plug, and an 18 V power supply with European conversion adapter plugs.
