HOT GEAR Levy’s Right Height Guitar Straps Levy’s has introduced the Right Height line of guitar straps that it says solves the problem of getting the ideal fit while playing the instrument. The Right Height line with RipChord technology allows musicians to easily adjust their strap with a quick pull of the handle, raising and lowering their guitar without taking it off or even stopping playing. The Right Height line features five different strap models, including an advanced ergonomic strap that distributes weight to prevent shoulder fatigue. The ergonomic strap’s split body style allows for ideal positioning on the shoulder while playing. The five models come in garment leather, suede, cotton, and polyester. Yamaha FP9 Bass Drum Pedal Yamaha has released the FP9 bass drum pedal, which is part of the new flagship series from Yamaha. The FP9 was designed in part with Yamaha Motors, with its swayless stability and sport-bike-inspired visuals. Ball bear- ings throughout the pedal, as well as front and rear spikes and a frame-inside-a-frame design, are meant to prevent rocking, sliding, and pedal play of any kind. This results in a smooth, nearly 1:1 transfer of energy, even at high intensities. It also features Yamaha’s three-way quick-adjusting link, paired with an independently-adjustable footboard and beater. The FP9’s self-locking ergonomic spring tension knob is designed to be fast and easy to dial in from a playing position. Also included is a weighted beater system with interchangeable weights to further dial in speed, throw, and power. The pedal is available in single and double (DFP9) ver- sions with chain-drive and direct-drive options.
