Dominion Ash Shell Pack
Ddrum has brought back the Dominion Series with the release
of the fl agship Dominion Ash six-piece shell pack. These birch
shells with ash veneer are aff ordably packaged and designed to
be ready-to-play out of the box.
Dominion Ash drums feature a hi-gloss fi nish with exotic
ash lacquer veneer on each birch shell. Four fi nish options are
available: red burst, green burst, gloss natural, and trans black.
The six-piece confi guration is comprised of 8 x 10-in. and 9
x 12-in. toms (six-ply); 14 x 14-in. and 14 x 16-in. fl oor toms
(six-ply); a 20 x 22-in. bass drum (eight-ply); and a matching 7
x 13-in. snare drum (eight-ply) with die-cast hoops. The sharp
45-degree bearing edge is an industry standard that produces
better attack and sustain, as well as more harmonic overtones.
This makes the drums sound brighter, livelier, and modern.
Remo drum heads are included, with clear Pinstripes for the
toms, a Reverse Dot for the snare, and a clear Powerstroke P3
bass drum head with a resonant side and a 10-lug batter.

Rod Wrench Set
Music Nomad has released the Premium Guitar Tech Truss
Rod Wrench Set, which off ers versatility and organization in a
phone-sized rugged case.
Designed to work on most electric, acoustic, and bass
guitars, this 11-piece set comes with six Allen key sizes (5/32 in.,
9/64 in., 1/8 in., 3/16 in., 4 mm, and 5 mm), three socket wrench
sizes (1/4 in., 5/16 in., and 7 mm), a specially-designed spoke
wheel tool, and a 3/8-in. blade bit.
Other features include laser-etched sizes on each wrench
and three magnetized screwdrivers for small truss rod cover
screws. As well, the socket wrenches and spoke wheel tool

Auralex HoverMat Acoustic Mat
for Percussionists
Auralex Acoustics has released an updated version of the Hov-
erMat, a portable acoustic barrier designed for use under drum
kits and percussion setups.
Based on customer suggestions and consultation with pro-
fessional drummers and percussionists, the updated HoverMat
combines Auralex’s SheetBlok Sound Barrier with a non-slip du-
rable fabric that is laminated together to produce an eff ective
sound barrier that improves acoustical isolation and clarifi es the
drums’ tones. The HoverMat allows for high-performance de-
coupling from hollow stages and fl oors, optimizing the sound
of drums and percussion instruments by minimizing resonance
from the surface on which they’re resting. The company says
that percussionists, especially those playing cajons and other
fl oor-standing instruments, will notice an improvement in tone,
clarity, and reduced vibration with the stage surface.
