Boss Katana-Artist MkII Amplifi er
Boss has released the Katana-Artist MkII, the top model in the
Katana guitar amp lineup.
In 2019, Boss introduced the Katana MkII series, and
now the fl agship 100-W Katana-Artist combo gets the MkII
treatment with more tone variations, expanded eff ects, and
other core updates. Also included are some new hardware
features only available on the Katana-Artist MkII, including a
contour control, solo boost, external dual amp control, and
more. A key element to the amp’s sound is the 100-W Waza
12-in. speaker, specially developed by Boss to deliver “brown
sound” tones inspired by the benchmark 25-W British stack
speaker from the 1960s. The fi ve amp characters in the Katana-
Artist MkII now include newly-voiced variations for a total of 10
diff erent tone options. Five simultaneous eff ects categories are
also available, up from three in the previous generation.
Players can also dive deeper with the Boss Tone Studio
editor for Mac and Windows, where they can customize sounds
with over 60 eff ect types, save/recall setups, and more.

D’Addario Pro Plus Capo
D’Addario Accessories has released the Pro Plus Capo.
With D’Addario’s FlexFit technology, the pad used on the
capo arm of the Pro Plus Capo mimics the way the anatomy of
the human fi nger functions when fretting a string. By applying
optimal pressure on every string, it reduces the likelihood of
unwanted buzzing, muted strings, or intonation issues caused
by varying capo pressure. The Pro Plus is designed to function
on nearly all guitars, including fl at fi ngerboard classical guitars,
all the way to vintage electrics with a 7-in. fretboard radius. It’s
also ideal for 12-string guitars or any instrument with octave
pairs of strings.

Godin Stadium HT Guitar
Godin Guitars has launched the Stadium HT single-cut guitar.
The Stadium HT features a hard rock maple neck and extra-
light Canadian Laurentian basswood string-through body that
is designed to be balanced, expressive, and smoothly fi nished.
Each Stadium HT has a unique acoustic-inspired fi nish that
gives the body a vintage look and feel while allowing it to
breathe and resonate more freely, as well as genuinely age and
wear as it’s played. Other features include a custom T-Ashtray
hardtail bridge, a custom Godin Cajun single-coil pickup at the
bridge, and Godin GS-3 single-coil pickup at the neck. Adding
to the vintage vibe with a modern twist is the reinvented
vintage-style control plate, complete with volume, tone, and
slanted three-way switch, which are aligned with the natural
sweep of the guitarist’s right hand.
The Stadium HT comes in three fi nishes: trans white, matte
black, and Havana brown. The trans white model comes with a
rosewood fretboard, while the matte black and Havana brown
come with a maple fretboard.
