Ashdown Rootmaster EVO II Bass Amps
Ashdown has released the Rootmaster EVO II bass amp range , the third incarnation of the Rootmaster range .
With Rootmaster EVO II , Ashdown has upgraded the amps ’ front panels with a matte anodized alloy finish , replacing the previous polished stainless steel . As well , Ashdown has narrowed the Rootmaster EVO II range down to a single 500-W head , the RM-500-EVO II , and a single 2x10-in . combo , the RM-C210T-EVO II .
The Rootmaster EVO II cabinet ’ s speakers have been upgraded to achieve a greater power handling and now use horns instead of piezo tweeters . As before , there is a threeposition switch for the player to vary the horn between high , low , or off , depending on the player ’ s preference . The range now comes equipped with an onboard headphone preamp for silent practice .

Pearl P920 & P922 Drum Pedals
Pearl has added the P920 and P922 bass drum pedals to its lineup . They are designed to be no-frills , workhorse pedals at a competitive price point .
Among the new features on the P920 and P922 are a newer , smoother , streamlined single-chain drive , which offers an improved level of speed for chain-driven pedals . Additionally , the P920 and P922 come standard with Duo- Beater , Pearl ’ s patented PowerShifter function , and are available as both single and double models . They also feature a fully adjustable beater angle .

Alesis Vortex Wireless 2 MIDI Keytar Controller
Alesis has released the Vortex Wireless 2 MIDI keytar controller , which features improved ergonomics for better playability , a more durable housing , and an updated control layout . The updated Vortex Wireless 2 offers comprehensive MIDI controller functionality in a stage-ready keytar design with a gloss-black finish . This MIDI keytar controller connects wirelessly to the player ’ s computer and integrates with popular virtual instruments , plug-ins , and DAWs . For stage and studio mobility , the PC- and Mac-compatible USB dongle uses a USB port to establish a wireless connection .
The Vortex Wireless 2 features 37 velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch , eight RGB backlit velocity-sensitive drum pads , and a row of eight backlit faders laid out in an accessible , hands-on design . A series of neck controls provides additional performance options , including a MIDI-assignable touch strip and accelerometer , octave range buttons , and sustain activation .
