Junos Honour Arcade Fire, Gord

The 2018 Juno Awards were handed out on March
24 th and 25 th in Vancouver. Among the winners were Arcade Fire, who took home the
International Achievement Award as well as the Album of the Year honour for Everything
Now. The late Gord Downie received recognition as Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the
Year alongside Kevin Drew, and Adult Alternative Album of the Year for Introduce Yerself.
Jessie Reyez won Breakthrough Artist of the Year and fellow R&B sensation Daniel
Caesar won R&B/Soul Recording of the Year for Freudian. Tory Lanez received the JUNO
JESSIE REYEZ
Award for Rap Recording of the Year for his hit “Shooters.” Shawn Mendes was awarded
Juno Fan Choice and Single of the Year for “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.”
The Barenaked Ladies reunited with original member Steven Page for a memorable performance and their induction into the Canadian Music
Hall of Fame.

The Canadian Independent Music Associa-
tion (CIMA) has announced the nominees
for the fourth annual CIMA Celebration
and Awards Gala, happening June 11,
2018 in Toronto.
The winners of
