Universal Audio Luna Recording
System
Universal Audio (UA) has introduced the Luna Recording
System, a full-featured music creation, recording, and
analog-style production solution that turns the company’s
Apollo interfaces into fully-integrated recording systems.
The system consists of a UA Thunderbolt-equipped audio
interface, the Luna Application, Luna Extensions, and Luna
Instruments.
Key Luna system features include its deep Apollo in-
terface integration, built-in Neve summing, multitrack tape
emulation, and new Luna Instruments, which mark UA’s first
foray into software‑based instruments. Unlike traditional
DAW software, Luna's tight hardware-software integration
enables quick routing and recording of audio through
DSP-powered UAD plug-ins with no discernable latency via
the new Accelerated Realtime Monitoring feature. Luna also
offers precisely-emulated audio summing circuitry from
the Neve 80-Series audio mixing consoles designed by
Neve Electronics in the 1960s and early 1970s, featuring the
sound of the Neve 1272 summing amplifier.

D’Addario Mic Stand Accessory
System
D’Addario has introduced the Mic Stand Accessory
System, which it says is the first fully modular mic stand-
mounted performance system.
After clamping the Universal Hub to a mic stand, art-
ists can then mount and rearrange a full array of perfor-
mance-enhancing accessories. Each module can be set
in nearly any configuration to suit the needs of a mobile,
gigging musician. The Starter Kit comes with the Universal
Hub, Cup Holder, Tip Jar, Gear Tray, and an assortment of
purpose-built hooks.

PRS S2 McCarty 594 Guitars
PRS Guitars has added three new models to its S2 Series
lineup: the S2 McCarty 594, S2 McCarty 594 Singlecut, and
S2 McCarty 594 Thinline. These solid-body electrics feature
vintage-inspired appointments and represent the first
time a McCarty model has been offered outside of the PRS
Private Stock and Core lines.
The S2 McCarty 594 features 58/15 “S” pickups and
dual volume and push/pull tone controls. This tonal set-up
is backed by modern construction so that the guitars play
in tune, stay in tune, and are intonated the entire length of
the neck. Each of the S2 McCarty 594 instruments features
22-fret mahogany necks with bound rosewood fretboards,
as well as the PRS zinc two-piece bridge and vintage-style
tuners. Both maple top versions, double and single cut,
sport a Pattern Vintage neck shape. The S2 McCarty 594
Thinline features a thinner, one-piece, all-mahogany body
and a Pattern Thin neck shape.
