TC-Helicon Mic Mechanic 2 Vocal Pedal
TC-Helicon has released the Mic Mechanic 2 compact vocal pedal , featuring echo , reverb , and correction controls .
Reverb simulates a physical space , allowing the singer ’ s voice to fit into the music . Whether it ’ s something small like a room or large like a concert hall , Mic Mechanic 2 ’ s vocally tuned reverb is designed to complement the voice and enhance the performance
Echo ( formally known as delay ) allows the user to add repeats of their vocals timed with the music . This effect helps vocals gel with the song and users can set the tempo via the footswitch .
With transparent auto-chromatic pitch correction , the Mic Mechanic 2 nudges the vocal pitch to the nearest semitone . It is not meant to completely change the voice , but to give a little support when needed .

Roland VP-03 Vocoder
Roland has released the VP-03 Vocoder , which is based on the company ’ s VP-330 Vocoder Plus , using ACB tech to emulate the original ’ s fusion of synthesized sound and the human voice .
Like the original VP-330 , the VP-03 has vocoder , human voice , and string sound sources on board . It also includes a gooseneck XLR microphone and can be paired with the optional K-25m keyboard unit for enhanced performance .
New features include 16 chord memory set-ups for onefinger chord playback , plus a new Voice Step sequencer for rhythmic effects . Alongside line and headphone outs , the VP-03 also includes MIDI I / O for connecting with other devices and 24-bit DAW audio interface capability via a Micro USB connector .

Radial Engineering has released the 4-Play direct box , designed for artists who employ multiple instruments on stage .
The 4-Play begins with a standard 1 / 4-in . input for acoustic string instruments . A mute footswitch lets the user silence the switcher when connecting or disconnecting the instrument . The signal is then routed to a selector footswitch that sequentially activates up to four outputs allowing each instrument to have its own dedicated channel on the PA . The user mutes the 4-Play , connects the desired instrument , and then uses the footswitch to select the output . High visibility LED indicators provide clear visual feedback of which output is active .
The 4-Play features four balanced XLR outputs , each equipped with a ground lift switch to help eliminate hum and buzz caused by ground loops . All of the connectors are made from glass-filled nylon for durability and isolation and feature nickel-silver contacts . Two " set and forget " switches allow the user to increase the range of the selector footswitch to two , three , or four outputs .
