Taylor Guitars has expanded its range of 12-string guitars to incorporate all five Taylor body shapes . Among the models is the 12-fret Grand Concert-shaped 552ce .
The Grand Concert 12-fret 552ce is the first of its kind for the company , a 12-string / 12- fret guitar that offers a smaller body and a slinkier hand feel . The guitars feature a mahogany back and sides , with a cedar top . The small-body Grand Concert ’ s compact size and tapered waist keep the overtones in check . The guitar ’ s slightly wider neck gives players more room for complex fingerings .
It features a shorter 24 7 / 8-in . scale length , which makes fretting easier and adds a slightly slinkier feel on the strings due to the lighter string tension .

Pitch2MIDI is an audio effect plug-in that takes real-time vocal or instrumental monophonic audio input and instantly transforms it into accurate MIDI output . Using the built-in synthesizer , artists can use their voice or instrument to play any one of over 100 synth sounds directly , or bypass the internal synth and send MIDI out to any of hundreds of virtual instruments on the market . Since it ’ s real-time , it ’ s not necessary to record the audio first or process it before hearing the results . This is meant to make the creation process more immediate and spontaneous . With Pitch2MIDI , artists can sing or play while hearing their virtual instruments at the same time .
