HOT GEAR Audified ToneSpot Drum Pro Plug-In Audified has released the ToneSpot Drum Pro one-shot channel strip processing plug-in. It’s designed to improve the tone of any acoustic or electronic drums and percussion. The ToneSpot Drum Pro shares the same concept and operational arrangement as Audified’s ToneSpot Bass Pro and ToneSpot Acoustic Pro plug-ins. It offers time-saving solutions and an easy entry to tips and tricks for best drum processing practice via settings based on analysis of thousands of renowned recordings. The straightforward signal flow is suited to newcomers. With the Channel button, users can select whether they want both sides of the signal to be processed, or only the left or right sides. The Input knob allows the input signal strength to be set accordingly. The Character section allows users to change the tone of their drums via three type settings: natural, modern, and vintage. They can also add additional bright, scoop, or lo-fi character features, or any combination of them. For more information, go to www.audified.com. Boss EQ-200 Graphic Equalizer Pedal Boss has introduced the 200 Series of effects pedals, which includes the EQ-200 Graphic Equalizer. All four pedals in the 200 Series feature 32-bit AD/DA, 32-bit internal processing, and a 96 kHz sampling rate, plus support for additional control via external switches, an expression pedal, or MIDI. The EQ-200 Graphic Equalizer is a precision tone-shaping tool for guitar, bass, and other instruments offering two wide-ranging 10-band EQ channels and a graphic display that shows the current EQ curve at a glance. Channels can be configured for stereo, parallel, or series opera- tion, and it’s possible to patch in external pedals for pre- and post-EQ shaping. The frequency centres of all 10 bands can also be set to three different types, optimizing performance for different applications. Equipped with MIDI I/O on mini TRS jacks, 200 Series pedals provide support for advanced control while conserving pedalboard space. The optional BMIDI-5-35 is a 5-ft. cable with an angled 3.5 mm TRS connector on one end and a standard five-pin male MIDI connec- tor on the other, allowing users to connect the pedal to nearly any MIDI-equipped device. The S2 Vela Semi-Hollow features an offset semi-hollow body shape and f-hole. Its pickguard-loaded electronics feature a PRS Starla “S” pickup in the bridge, providing a bright, chimey tone, and a PRS- designed type-D singlecoil in the neck. The coil-tap on the tone control allows the bridge pickup to split to singlecoils, providing a bal- anced tone that will cut through the mix. Anchoring this guitar is the PRS plate-style bridge with two saddles that were designed to com- pensate for intonation. This bridge harkens back to Paul Reed Smith’s early designs and traditional bass plate-style bridges but is top-loading for easy restringing. Like the bridge found on some PRS Private Stock models, the plate-style bridge features brass saddles and an aluminum plate for added tonal sustain.
