Arturia has released V Collection 5 , the latest incarnation of its collection of authentic-sounding virtual instruments , expanded and updated to include five new additions alongside new versions of existing sounds , plus Analog Lab 2 .
The collection includes 17 virtual instruments that recreate hard-to-source synthesizers and classic keyboards , including five new additions . The B-3 V recreates the distinctive tones of the classic B-3 tonewheel organ . As well , the Farfisa V is designed to be an authentic software simulation of the famous Farfisa Compact Deluxe organ . Also included is an authentic-sounding software simulation of the ‘ 70s-vintage Stage and ‘ 60s-vintage Suitcase 73-key electric pianos . Thanks to Arturia ’ s collaboration with original Synclavier software developer Cameron Jones , Synclavier V recreates everything the classic Synclavier FM synthesizer could do .

Roland FD-9 Hi-Hat Controller
Roland has released the FD-9 Hi-Hat Controller , the latest addition to its V-Drums lineup of electronic percussion products . Featuring a proprietary link mechanism , the FD-9 is designed to deliver quiet performance without affecting feel or playability , making it ideal for V-Drums users who play in small homes , apartments , practice studios , and other environments where noise is an important concern .
The FD-9 Hi-Hat Controller features an all-in-one design like the KT-9 and incorporates a similar link mechanism for a marked reduction in operational noise . Compared with the Roland FD-8 Hi-Hat Controller , the FD-9 produces 50 per cent less audible sound in the room and 15 per cent less to rooms below . The pedal ’ s feet ensure stability , letting the user work the FD-9 as hard or soft as they like to pick up with support for aggressive moves like hi-hat splashes .
