Music Manitoba Creative Manitoba is accepting applications for the Careers in the Arts Mentorship program , which offers youth the chance to participate in a group mentorship program run by partnering industry organizations in a choice of four different arts disciplines . Being offered in partnership with Music Manitoba , there are three smaller music industry-focused groups and / or one larger general music industry group .
The three smaller groups are : Songwriting , Sound Engineering & Production lead by Sierra Noble ; Managing a Professional Music Career lead by Andrea Davis ; and Music Event Planning , Promotion & Content Creation lead by Brendan Kinley . The larger group offers more general music business sessions . All the sessions will run between February and April 2021 .

YELLOWSKY & THE RECKLESS FAMOUS AT THE 2019 SASKATCHEWAN MUSIC AWARDS
Rachel Beck is close behind with seven nominations , including in some of the top categories like Album , Songwriter , and Solo Recording of the Year . Dylan Menzie , Kinley , and Sarah Hagen are sitting with six nominations , while five nominations belong to Brielle Ansems and her album This New Hurricane .

MusicNL MusicNL has announced its award nominees for 2020 . Leading the way are Rube & Rake and The Heavy Horses with six MusicNL Awards nominations apiece . Other multi-award nominees include Jason Benoit ( five ) followed by Rachel Cousins and Rum Ragged ( four each ).

ADISQ ADISQ is offering a number of online training courses for its Quebec-based members throughout early 2021 . Most of the courses are about three hours long and the cost for individual members is $ 24 . SaskMusic ÐSaskMusic has revealed its nominees for the 2020 Saskatchewan Music Awards . The awards are intended to honour excellence and celebrate the achievements of Saskatchewan music industry members over the past year . The 2020 awards event will take place in a streaming format on Jan . 24 , 2021 via SaskMusic ’ s social media pages . The announcement also included the long list for The Best Saskatchewan Albums of 2020 . Now in its sixth year , this annual year-end list was created to draw attention to the best Saskatchewan music released in a broad range of styles , and now goes forward for the public to determine the winner of Album of the Year .
The awards are being held in conjunction with the Very Prairie Music Summit , an educational and network-building event for the Saskatchewan music industry , which will also be held online .
