trained vocalist, and drummer Jon Fedorsen. Their gritty-
but-stylish brand of synth-heavy dream pop has been turn-

CM: When arranging and recording for Featurette, how
much thought goes into how something might trans-
late to the live environment, considering it’s typically
just the two of you performing?
JF: When writing and producing, we definitely don’t
think about how the tunes will translate live – and I wouldn’t
want something like that fear or concern to cause us to stop
pursuing something that’s innovative in-studio just because
