Aston Element Microphone Aston Microphones has released the Aston Element , which features the company ’ s new Ridyon capsule and ships with a custom shock mount and pop shield .
Utilizing 48 V phantom power , the mic ’ s lightweight active-moving-coil-diaphragm delivers high-end condenser mic sensitivity and performance , with the punchy bass and rejection capability of a dynamic mic and the open , natural , sound of a ribbon . The capsule is significantly larger than most at 1.5 in ./ 38 mm . The design enables the diaphragm to move freer and further , enabling it to handle significantly higher sound pressure levels before distortion . The freedom of movement also gives a better bass response , which is most noticeable in its ability to accurately reproduce low-mid frequencies , all giving the mic a warmer and more natural sound . The Element capsule also has an internal 360-degree suspension system , which provides improved protection from shocks , regardless of direction .
Both the capsule body and mic chassis have been designed to provide the flattest possible frequency response . The Ridyon capsule uses acoustic treatment rather than metalwork to achieve this . The custom grille acts as a diffuser for source audio entering the mic , and the contoured body shape and slimline monocoque capsule housing helps direct source audio to the capsule with minimal diffraction .

Jackson Limited Edition Wildcard Series Guitars Jackson has introduced the Limited Edition Wildcard Series , which includes the Limited Edition Wildcard Series Soloist SL2FM and Soloist SL2P . The new series takes Jackson ’ s high-tech Soloist models and adds premium features and upgrades that are typically found only on its Custom Shop models .
The Limited Edition Wildcard Soloist SL2FM and Soloist SL2P models feature an ergonomicallycontoured alder body in a transparent black burst finish with masked-off natural binding and colour-matched pointy headstock . The SL2FM features a flame maple top while the SL2P is capped with a poplar burl top . The neck-through-body construction design improves sustain and intonation and features a solid five-piece maple / wenge / maple / wenge / maple neck with graphite reinforcement and a painted gloss to natural satin gradient finish on the back for smooth playability . The 12-16-in . compound radius bound ebony fingerboard features 24 jumbo frets and an outlined pearloid sharkfin at the 12 th fret , Luminlay side dots for fretboard guidance on dark stages , and a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel .

Eventide Blackhole Reverb Pedal Eventide has released the Blackhole reverb pedal , which is designed to create “ haunting echoes , ethereal landscapes , and otherworldly ambience .”
The Blackhole algorithm was introduced in Eventide ’ s DSP4000 Ultra-Harmonizer hardware processor and now opens a host of possibilities on a pedalboard . With the pedal , users can pick and choose from five presets or create presets on their own . It can load up to 127 presets via MIDI , which are also accessible in the preset list on the Eventide Device Manager . The rear-panel Guitar / Line Level switch allows impedance matching with guitars , synths , FX loops , or DAW interfaces . An aux switch can be deployed to tap tempo , or a triple aux switch can be used for easy preset changing ( up / down / load ).
There are two types of infinite reverb . “ Infinite mode ” continuously layers new sound on top of a suspended reverb while “ Freeze mode ” holds the effect in stasis , allowing musicians to play over the reverb tail .
