Zoom North America Promotes Colleen Harwood to VP of Operations Zoom North America has promoted Colleen Harwood to the role of VP of operations .
Harwood joined Zoom North America in 2013 as its third associate . She initially worked in the customer service division and her responsibilities grew quickly to include purchasing , oversight of the warehouse / shipping operations , and assisting the CFO in preparing financial reporting . In 2016 , Harwood was promoted to manager of operations / product planning . As VP of operations she will assist in all of the company ’ s legal matters , IT , and various other duties including oversight of the facility , personnel , and inventory .

Schedule Released for PASIC 2020 : Virtual The schedule is now out for the 2020 Percussive Arts Society International Convention ( PASIC ), which will be a two-day virtual destination on Nov . 13-14 , 2020 , having had to cancel it usual convention in Indianapolis , IN because of COVID-19 restrictions and concerns . PASIC organizers say they plan for the virtual event to be as close to the physical experience as possible , featuring a wide offering of speakers and clinicians . The usual competitive ensemble events will not take place because of social distancing requirements and an uneven playing field for some schools that are still not meeting in person . The individual competition , though , will still take place virtually .
From 12-5 p . m . EST on each day of the convention there will be clinics , panels , workshops , and more . “ Nothing can replace what it ’ s like to attend PASIC in person . However , we ’ re excited to reinvent that same unique experience you have come to rely on in a virtual setting . What ’ s even more exciting is knowing that a virtual PASIC will allow our members around the world , who are normally unable to attend in person , the opportunity to experience the unique gathering and sharing of artistry and innovation we celebrate each year in Indianapolis . We guarantee that the look , feel , and quality you expect out of an in-person PASIC will still be part of your 2020 virtual experience ,” Percussive Arts Society ( PAS ) Board of Directors says in a statement .
PAS says it hopes that by having a virtual event , combined with the lower registration cost , the virtual PASIC will attract a wider audience .
