Roland TD-07KV V-Drums Roland has introduced the TD-07KV , a compact and affordable kit from its electronic V-Drums range . The TD-07KV features mesh-head snare and tom pads , large V-Cymbals , high-end drum sounds , Bluetooth and USB connectivity , and more .
At the heart of the TD-07KV is the TD-07 sound module , offering detailed acoustic drum and percussion samples captured in pro studios , while V-Drums ’ technology responds realistically to player input . Also on board is a wide range of electronic percussion , plus deep editing tools for personalizing each sound . Players can change out and tune drums , add damping , change the ambient environment , and use individual EQs and transient editors to shape sounds .
The TD-07KV is outfitted with Roland ’ s double-ply , tension-adjustable mesh drumheads for snare and toms , giving a more accurate feel while playing . The PDX-8 8-in . snare pad features independent head and rim zones for assigning different sounds , while three PDX-6A 6-in . tom pads offer single-zone triggering . The kit also includes CY-8 12-in . pads for crash and ride , a 10-in . hi-hat with integrated pedal , and a KD-10 kick pad . Moog Claravox Centennial Theremin Moog Music has introduced the Claravox Centennial theremin . Its release commemorates the 100 th anniversary of Leon Theremin ’ s eponymous invention , which is one of the first known electronic musical instruments .
Moog says the Claravox Centennial is the most versatile theremin it has made . Users can switch between Traditional and Modern performance modes to select between classic heterodyne analog oscillators and versatile wavetable generators with assignable scales , quantization , and octave ranges . An analog wave-shaping circuit ( derived from the Etherwave Pro ) imbues ethereal sonic character and empowers sound-sculpting possibilities , and the on-board analog BBD delay creates a wash of echoes and warmth . The Claravox Centennial provides access to multiple levels of calibration and control settings to create a custom fit between the instrument and the player . Other features include MIDI and CV inputs and outputs for integrating with DAWs , control of external sound sources , front-panel preset storage for instant recall of sounds and settings , pitch quantization and scale selections to help educate players , and a dedicated software editor to further expand the instrument ’ s control and sonic capabilities . Modal Electronics COBALT8 Virtual-Analog Synthesizer Modal Electronics has released the COBALT8 , an eight-voice extended virtual-analog synthesizer . It features 64 oscillators with true eight-voice polyphony , 34 algorithms , and a 512-note sequencer .
Building on the tradition of warm and punchy analog-style synth sounds , the COBALT8 invites musicians , producers , and sound designers to explore new virtual-analog synthesizer textures beyond the limits of its analog predecessors . On top of the COBALT8 ’ s oscillator engine , the company added a new morphable four-pole ladder filter .
