Canadian MI dealers weigh in on lessons learned during the pandemic & what they expect for the year to come

BY MICHAEL RAINE

As

2020 ends , it ’ s hard to put a rosy picture on the year that was . It hasn ’ t been all doom and gloom , though , as we ’ ve heard from some MI stores across Canada who , amidst the turmoil , found new customers and abilities they didn ’ t know were there . For some , online sales exceeded their expectations , and when they were allowed to reopen with new safety precautions in place , their loyal customers were there waiting for them . Others , sadly , did not experience such good fortune and remain in a really tough spot with a difficult winter looming .
So , in early-November we reached out to a few friends running MI stores across the country to find out what they ’ ve learned through this unprecedented challenge , and what their hopes , worries , and expectations are for an unpredictable year ahead .
