PRODUCT NEWS Boss GT-1B Bass Effects Processor Boss has introduced the GT-1B bass effects processor, a compact multi-effects unit for bassists. Equipped with Boss’s flagship-level sound engine, the GT-1B is a powerful mobile tone companion that gives players a diverse selection of preamps and effects for stage and studio playing. The GT-1B features 90 unique effects, including 13 different preamp types, all tuned for bass. Among these is a selection of premium effects that use Boss’s advanced Multi-Dimensional Processing (MDP) to main- tain an instrument’s natural character and response. A dedicated looper is included as well, providing a built-in tool for jamming and spontaneous creativity. The GT-1B’s interface makes it simple to build sounds and fine-tune parameters, even for players who are new to multi-effects. Easy Select and Easy Edit functions streamline patch creation, allowing bassists to achieve polished multi-effects sounds. Named for its lotus flower- inspired inlay pattern, the banjo is centred around its white oak rim. Notably lacking a traditional heavy tone ring, the natural white oak rim is designed to closely recreate a bright, crisp bluegrass punch. Weighing 8 lbs. and featuring the Deering white oak rim design, this American white oak banjo is designed to give a bright tone, crisp and clear note distinction, power, and sustain usually found in banjos with metallic tone rings. White oak provides a series of overtones that imitate a bell metal tone ring without the additional weight of this component. The White Lotus banjo has white binding, a midnight maple fingerboard, 22 pressed-in-nickel silver frets, planetary banjo tuners, a fully-adjustable truss rod, geared fifth string peg, and a gloss finish.
